Job summary

Raleigh Radiology in Wake County, NC, seeks a registered Radiologic Technologist to support IR services, coordinate patient care, and assist in the IR suite as needed. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 3-8 hour days, across freestanding outpatient centers.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT RT registration, Radiologic Technology degree, and have IR clinic experience. AHA BLS certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of employment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography.
• Experience: Previous experience in an IR clinic within a busy outpatient office or hospital department is required.
• Certification: AHA BLS certification is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Continuous AHA BLS certification is required. Registered as an RT with ARRT (RT(R)) at time of hire. Interventional Technologist ARRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards of professional care and follows Raleigh Radiology policies.
• Coordinates IR procedures, including scheduling, authorizations, and surgical appointments, and assists in the IR suite as needed.
• Administers contrast and assists with tests and procedures; maintains equipment and supplies.
• Documents assessments, communicates with referring physicians, and provides reports after procedures.
• Provides emergency measures when required and ensures patient safety and quality care.
