PRIMARY FUNCTION

Ensure all work referenced below is completed at an acceptable productivity level for employee's classification and experience level. Productivity performance will be based on historical time studies of similar work.

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Responsible for performing welding functions per job specifications. Selects equipment and plans layout and assembly of welding. Works closely and interacts with supervision and QA/QC. Works with precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Actively support the company's commitment to safety and its 'Core Values.'
• Represent the company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the 'Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.'
• Proficient at arc gouging.
• Capable of welding qualified processes without supervision.
• Must have mathematical skills.
• Must be knowledgeable in understanding and utilizing various blueprint drawings.
• Perform or assist in departmental fit-up activities as directed by Leadman or Shop Foreman.
• Ability to utilize and interpret measuring devices and weld symbols (e.g., tape measure, protractor).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information, such as codes (ASME, API-650-620).
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications + Experience

• Prior related experience and/or training in a fabrication environment.
• Must be certified in at least three of the following processes: GMAW/FCAW (6G), GTAW (2G & 5G or 6G), SMAW (2G, 3G, or 6G), or SAW (1G - Flat). At minimum, must have GMAW / FCAW 6G certification.

Physical Requirements

• Willing to work frequent overtime.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Willing to work at elevated heights using ladders, scaffolding, aerial platforms, etc.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and occasional climbing.
• Stand and walk for extended periods, up to at least 8 hours per day.
• This position is safety sensitive and requires compliance with safety standards and training, including drug testing.
