Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Ensure all work referenced below is completed at an acceptable productivity level for employee's classification and experience level. Productivity performance will be based on historical time studies of similar work.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
  1. Perform welding functions per job specifications, including equipment selection, layout, and assembly planning.
  2. Collaborate with supervision and QA/QC teams, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  3. Support safety initiatives and uphold the company's core values.
  4. Represent the company ethically and professionally, adhering to the code of conduct.
  5. Proficient in arc gouging and capable of welding qualified processes independently.
  6. Possess strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  7. Assist in departmental fit-up activities as directed.
  8. Utilize measuring devices and interpret technical information, including codes like ASME and API standards.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience or training in fabrication environments. Certification in at least three welding processes, with GMAW/FCAW 6G as a minimum requirement.

  • GMAW/FCAW - 6G
  • GTAW - 2G & 5G or 6G
  • SMAW - 2G, 3G, or 6G
  • SAW - 1G (Flat)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and handle objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to perform tasks in hot and cold environments, including bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods.
  • This position involves safety-sensitive duties.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Safety management and site-specific training, along with participation in the DISA drug testing program.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The typical hourly rate in California ranges from $30.00 to $34.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health plans, 401(k), stock purchase, wellness programs, and more.
