Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a mechanical design engineer to join the Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis Department to lead an Integrated Product Team for the Low Band Surveillance radar program.

You will direct the technical work of engineers, ensuring program commitments are executable and aligned to baselines while coordinating across subsystem leads and engineering teams for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 12+ years of applicable experience or 10+ years with MS degree.
• Strong SolidWorks user.
• Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own IPT execution performance for the IPT scope.
• Lead cost, schedule, and technical performance alignment for the hardware team.
• Ensure program commitments are executable and aligned to baseline objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on program objectives.
• Partner with subsystem leads to ensure technical alignment supports program goals.
• Drive disciplined execution and proactive risk management across the IPT.
• Provide clear status to leadership and stakeholders during reviews.
