Job summary

Standard Bots seeks a Corporate Controller in a hybrid NY-based role to build our financial infrastructure as we scale toward an IPO. You will own the close, controls, and audit, partner with leadership, and drive SEC readiness while overseeing equity administration and ERP migration.

You will lead US GAAP accounting, policy development, and a growing accounting team in a fast-paced hardware/software environment.

Qualifications

• CPA required with public-company experience; Big 4 background preferred.
• Experience taking a company through IPO processes (S-1, SOX 404) or managing public-close.
• Strong record compressing close timelines and building control environments.
• Familiarity with SEC reporting and equity plan administration systems.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close; drive cadence to best-in-class timing.
• Design and implement COSO-based internal controls and SOX documentation.
• Lead PCAOB-registered external audits and manage audit cycle.
• Build internal audit function aligned to IPO readiness.
• Present status to board/audit committee and CFO.
• Oversee US GAAP accounting, ASC 606, inventory, and stock-based comp.
• Manage equity administration and 409A valuations; scale systems.
• Prepare SEC reporting readiness (10-K/10-Q) and XBRL tagging.
• Collaborate on ERP implementation and policy/process rollout.
• Lead accounting team growth and cross-functional alignment.
