Job summary

Trulieve in Kentucky is seeking an IPM Technician II to perform IPM scouting and product applications within the Cultivation department, adhering to laws, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The role may flex to support flower, veg, mom, propagation, harvest, and post-harvest areas as needed.

You will inspect rooms, take notes on plant health and pests, and collaborate with staff to implement effective, compliant solutions while maintaining equipment and reporting findings.

Job Title: IPM Technician II

Department: Cultivation

POSITION SUMMARY

The IPM Technician II performs IPM Scouting and Product application tasks to support the operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. In addition, as determined by business need, IPM Technician II employees may be flexed to provide support in flower, veg, mom, propagation, harvest and post-harvest areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspecting all plants and rooms across assigned facility

• Completing spray assignments as assigned by management

• Taking notes on and assessing plant health, pest issues, and cleanliness of grow rooms for daily reports by email as well as the Trulieve SharePoint

• Taking plant samples for inspection to identify pests or plant health issues

• Partner with staff and management to identify problems across the grow and collaborate on developing and implementing solutions

• Researching pests and plant health issues and how to better deal with them in a compliant manner

• Work independently with excellent time management skills to inspect all rooms in facilities before light cycle switches off

• Verbal presentations for weekly management meetings

• Clean and maintain equipment necessary for the completion of all tasks

• Conduct tasks in flower and veg production areas to increase cultivation skills as IPM tech II

• Netting and Trellis flower plants.

• Loading plants and placing emitters.

• Tucking and spreading plants as directed.

• Culling plants.

• Low-stress training and tucking of plants.

• Pruning, topping, and defoliation.

• Irrigating plants utilizing various methods.

• Identifying and disposing of Green Waste.

• Cleaning and sanitation as directed by leadership.

• All other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)

• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Will be working in close proximity and with cannabis flower and particulates on a daily basis

• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)

• Must be able to wear IPM PPE including Tyvek Coveralls, FaceShield, Half and/or Full Face Respirators, and Protective Gloves while mixing, loading, and spraying crops

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance

• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movements and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.

• At times, the entire shift may be spent standing and walking

• Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger and elbow movement

• Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions

• Must be able to communicate with conversational proficiency with co-workers, vendors, etc.

• Working in an environment with equipment that produces continuous low-level sound (Moderate noise)
