The Village at Country Creek is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a Spray Technician/Assistant. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, demonstrates leadership qualities, is a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and values hard work.

General Purpose:

Performs chemical/fertilizer applications and assists the superintendent on a 60-acre executive golf course.

Pay range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Essential Duties:
  • Performs routine safety inspections on all spraying and fertilizer equipment.
  • Reads, understands, and keeps current with material safety data sheets (MSDS).
  • Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Ensures the safety and proper direction of chemical/fertilizer handlers and helpers.
  • Records all fertilizer or chemical applications.
  • Ensures proper calibration of all spraying and fertilizing equipment.
  • Assists the superintendent and collaborates to supervise the crew.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
  • Certificate from college or technical school; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
  • Current Certified Florida O&T License or obtain within 90 days of employment.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly stands and walks. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, tastes, or smells.
  • Uses hands frequently; reaches with hands or arms; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; talks or hears.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and speak English; some Spanish is helpful for communication.
  • Computer skills, including Excel.
