Job summary

Washington State University seeks a Manager/Educator for the WSU Decision Aid System to lead outreach, train stakeholders, and expand a real-time IPM decision support tool for tree fruits in Washington and British Columbia.

You will collaborate with entomology, plant pathology, and horticulture researchers and our programmer to extend capabilities, perform field work, analyze data, write reports, and present findings to growers and peers.

Qualifications

• Must have a PhD in Entomology, pest management, or a related field.
• Experience/knowledge in pest management modeling, IPM systems, field research and statistical analysis are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the WSU Decision Aid System for real-time IPM in tree fruits.
• Provide stakeholder training and develop educational assets to increase adoption.
• Assist in report writing and publish findings in referred journals and grower publications.
• Collaborate with researchers and programmer to extend capabilities and evaluate climate change impacts on management programs.
