Barnes & Thornburg is seeking a Trademark Assistant in Indianapolis to support the IP team with docketing, file maintenance, and document preparation. You will coordinate deadlines, prepare office actions, and assist with both US and foreign filings.
The role requires experience with trademark prosecution, strong communication, and attention to detail in a fast-paced legal environment, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Under direct supervision of the IP Operations Manager and IP Department attorneys, and according to established policies and procedures, the Trademark Assistant performs a variety of docketing, file maintenance, document and correspondence preparation, and other related duties.
A qualified candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience working as a Trademark Assistant with both U.S. and foreign trademark applications, ability to prepare associated documents and correspondence, and have a strong understanding of trademark deadlines and procedures.
