Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced patent and trademark searches, including freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses.
• Monitor competitor IP activity and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the IP attorney to develop and execute strategies for expanding and strengthening the IP portfolio.
• Oversee patent applications and Office Action responses by outside counsel with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with inventors and technical teams to capture innovations and prepare invention disclosures.
• Maintain patent marking websites and ensure ongoing legal compliance.
• Review and negotiate complex IP-related contracts including NDAs.
• Support IP attorney and outside counsel in IP litigation with evidence gathering and analysis.
• Implement and improve internal IP processes aligned with company policies and standards.
• Advise and train business on IP strategy, risk assessment, IP management database, and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced patent and trademark searches, including freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses.

• Advise and train business on IP strategy, risk assessment, IP management database, and portfolio development.

Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience required.

Software Knowledge: Anaqua and IP Rally (or similar software) experience strongly preferred; Microsoft suite experience required.

Additional Requirements

• Licensed US Patent Agent Preferred
• Up to 10-15% of occasional travel—must be able to travel independently.
• Demonstrated Proficiency in AI-Enhanced Patent Analysis and Prior Art Evaluation
