Job summary

Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking an experienced IP Associate with patent preparation and prosecution expertise to join its Intellectual Property Group. The ideal candidate should possess patent preparation and prosecution experience in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, or Biomedical Engineering.

Expertise in modern day genetics, antibodies, organic chemistry, or pharmaceutical chemistry is preferred.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor required; must be licensed to practice law in one or more jurisdictions where the Firm conducts business; must maintain CLE requirements; USPTO registration required.
Advanced degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, or Biomedical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Simultaneously handles the high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters at different stages of progression, from inception to conclusion
Possess strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients
Demonstrates ability to work independently and advance a career in Intellectual Property law
Produces quality legal work and bills the required hours to ensure excellent client services
Manages business and generates business through group and individual efforts
Complies with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession
