What You’ll Do

The position of IP Paralegal provides a full range of functions, with a focus on trademark portfolio management, prosecution, administration, maintenance and enforcement.

What you’ll be working on:

• Prepare and transmit standardized correspondence relating to trademark and patent portfolio management and trademark oppositions.
• Review the docket on a daily basis to track all deadlines associated with trademark prosecution, oppositions, customs recordals, and enforcement matters.
• Communicate and generally interact with foreign counsel and foreign associates as directed in connection with the management of the company’s global IP portfolio.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the company’s internal trademark files, including docketing.
• Assist in all steps of the civil enforcement of company’s intellectual property.
• Gather and organize evidence of use to support pending applications and for use in pending oppositions.
• Prepare and transmit letters of authorization and customs authorization letters.
• Review License Agreements, Letter Agreements and similar legal documentation, and summarize terms.
• Prepare status reports for attorneys and clients, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Must Haves:

• 3+ years of trademark support experience preferred;
• Experience in physical and electronic records maintenance;
• Proficiency in industry standard records management software;
• Knowledge of U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution procedures;
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment with and without direct supervision;
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time;
• Knowledge of industry standard trademark docketing software products preferred;
• Familiarity with Mac preferred

Primary Location Salary/Draw Range:

$80,000-$90,000
