Job summary

Fish & Richardson P.C. is seeking an IP Operations System Specialist to maintain IP systems through audits, data cleanup, and validation, and to support daily matter openings and staffing updates for the practice groups.

This remote-first role emphasizes home-based work with no regular in-office presence. You will develop and run recurring and ad hoc reports, contribute to automation initiatives for efficiency, and work with MS SQL and IP docketing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in patent or trademark prosecution support services.
• MS SQL and MS Office proficiency expected.

This is a remote-first position, with a focus on candidates in MA, DE, NY, CA, DC, MN, TX, GA, and IL. Hub employees work primarily from home with no expectation of a regular in-office presence.

How Will You Make a Difference?

• Responsible for ensuring that IP systems are maintained through regular audits, data cleanup, and validation.
• Assist with daily matter opening and staffing updates required by the practice groups.
• Develop and run recurring and ad hoc reports and audits in response to requests made through processes established by department leadership.
• Assist with initiatives to implement automation to create efficiencies for the IP Operations Team and practice groups.

What Will You Bring to the Table?

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in patent or trademark prosecution support services.
• MS SQL skills preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; IP docketing/management systems; and document management systems.

In Boston, New York, San Diego, and Silicon Valley, the estimated starting pay is $37.36 - $46.70 per hour (based on a 35-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $68,000 - $85,000 annually.

In Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C., the estimated starting pay is $34.87 - $43.59 per hour (based on a 37.5-hour workweek), which is equivalent to $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
