This Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) is responsible for reducing the transmission of infectious diseases among patients, staff, visitors, and the community. You will lead infection prevention efforts through strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration across the facility.

Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention goals and action plans annually.
2. Collaborate with facility leaders, physicians, and health agencies on infection prevention activities.
3. Oversee infection prevention, epidemiology, safety programs, and related operations.
4. Participate in national quality collaboratives and report to CDC NHSN and other organizations.
5. Ensure staff, volunteers, and medical staff are educated and interventions are implemented during infection outbreaks or non-compliance.

Infection Control Nurse (RN/LPN) Requirements:

1. Promote teamwork and collaboration.
2. Hold a valid RN or LPN license.
3. Demonstrate high ethical standards.
4. Have knowledge of nursing procedures, laws, and regulations relevant to nursing care facilities.
