Job Description

Are you a skilled Network Resident Engineer with a passion for optimizing performance and ensuring customer satisfaction? If you enjoy tackling complex challenges in multi-vendor environments, developing innovative network architectures, and collaborating with internal teams to drive product improvements, then we encourage you to apply for our Networking Resident Engineer position. You'll have the opportunity to lead critical design and performance activities, develop network-wide design recommendations, and contribute to the optimization of networks based on traffic trends and customer forecasts. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
  1. Perform critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently, addressing complex problems in projects and multi-vendor environments.
  2. Develop, review, and recommend network-wide designs covering Performance, Spectrum & Capacity supported by Recommendations (within and across the region).
  3. Organize field measurements and laboratory tests.
  4. Conduct network audits, especially in cases of faults or problems.
  5. Optimize networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  6. Support experts in developing network configuration files and interface analysis.
  7. Develop network architecture and service designs with the best available architecture to support customer services.
  8. Produce network implementation and migration plans.
  9. Document equipment and service configurations.
  10. Test and support networks during various stages of deployment.
  11. Provide recommendations to optimize network operations and performance.
  12. Collaborate with internal technical teams for product placement and feature improvements related to reliability, availability, and serviceability.
Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science, or 5+ years of practical work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with MPLS, ISIS, Segment Routing, BGP protocols, LDP, RSVP-TE, and L2/L3 VPNs over MPLS, Nokia Router.
  • 2+ years' experience in QoS implementation/testing; familiarity with testing tools like Spirent and IXIA.
  • 5+ years' expertise troubleshooting, monitoring, and configuring the mentioned IP networking protocols.
  • A customer-oriented mindset and strong written and verbal communication skills for end-clients.
  • Nokia SRA, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Nokia products (7750SR, 7250 IXR, 7705SAR, 7210SAS, NSP).
