Empire Fiber in Elmira, NY is seeking an IP Engineer to design, implement, and support IP-based services including Internet, SIP (VoIP), and IPTVs. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of our service provider network.

Responsibilities include network design and implementation, IP/MPLS networks, SIP/VoIP, multicast, monitoring, firewall and DDoS, and maintaining documentation. On-call nights, weekends, and holidays on rotation; overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate and have experience with digital telecommunications equipment, Internet Protocol, VOIP, Centrex, PBX, voice mail and DSLAMS carriers.
• Demonstrated skill in managing multiple simultaneous activities.
• Must have aValid NYS Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Network Design & Implementation.
• Design, deploy, and optimize IP/MPLS networks.
• Maintain and configure SIP/VoIP infrastructure.
• Manage multicast streaming and IGMP/PIM configurations.
• Monitor network performance and resolve service issues.
• Manage firewall policies and DDoS mitigation.
• Maintain network documentation and change logs.
