Optimum is seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced networks across a regional backbone. The role focuses on IP routing, MPLS, QoS, and reliability to support high-capacity services for multi-state networks.

The ideal candidate has strong routing/switching skills (BGP/OSPF/ISIS), experience with MPLS-TE, IPv4/IPv6, and proficiency in scripting for automation. This on-site position demands collaboration with multiple teams and on-call readiness.

Formación

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
CCNP or higher (CCIE preferred).
Experience in Service Provider environments and enterprise services.
Experience with routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
IPv4/IPv6 knowledge and subnetting.

Responsabilidades

Design, implement, and maintain regional IP Backbone networks for ISP and commercial services.
Develop detailed designs and architectures using BGP, OSPF, RSVP, LDP and QoS.
Create and execute test plans for new technologies and services.
Test and validate IP service integration (internet, VPN, VoIP, video) over IP/MPLS.
Define procedures for installation, maintenance, and removal of equipment.
Coordinate with regions to meet demand and growth requirements.
Support 24x7 operations with on-call rotation and incident escalation.
Provide engineering guidelines and documentation for operations teams.
