Job summary

Nokia is seeking an IP Resident Engineer to act as a critical on-site liaison in Bellevue, WA, ensuring operational quality of system equipment and handling complex on-site installations. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service intricate networks while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

The role spans architecture, migration planning, service design, testing, and customer training, with on-site or remote support as needed.

Qualifications

• Four years degree in CS/CE/Telecom or equivalent.
• Nokia NRSII certification is required; SRA/CCIE/JNCIE preferred.
• 7+ years with a telecom equipment vendor or service provider.
• 5+ years in IP routing protocols: IS-IS, OSPF, BGP; SR/MPLS.
• 5+ years QoS experience; familiarity with Spirent, IXIA, Iperf, JDSU.
• 3+ years scripting (Python, C, Bash, Shell, XML); Nokia products hands-on.
• Strong written and verbal communication with end-clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop network architecture and service designs to support customer needs.
• Produce migration plans; configure equipment and services.
• Test and support networks during deployment and post-implementation.
• Evaluate networks for performance, security, and scalability; provide optimization.
• Create technical SOWs and training materials; deliver trainings.
• Maintain relationships with customer teams and internal groups.
