Job summary

Baker Botts L.L.P. is seeking a mid-level business development and marketing professional to join the Client Development team as a Senior Coordinator supporting the Intellectual Property practice.

This hybrid role (3 in-office days) focuses on crafting compelling pitch materials, RFP responses, and marketing content in collaboration with attorneys and leadership. You will help identify BD opportunities, track metrics, coordinate seminars, and manage internal communications to align teams across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field required.
• At least three years of business development/marketing experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of BD/marketing principles in professional services, incl. client targeting and management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of strategic business development plans; track progress against goals and report on results.
• Develop BD/marketing deliverables including pitch materials, RFP responses, brochures, thought leadership pieces, invitations, website content, and other marketing materials.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen content and pursue client opportunities.
• Prepare survey and award submissions and compile client references for Chambers, The Legal 500, and Law360.
• Track IP experience and matters to support BD/marketing efforts.
• Plan client seminars and external events; manage post-event follow-up.
• Organize speaking opportunities and conference sponsorships; liaise on attendance/logistics.
• Collaborate with intelligence team to share client/industry research for client meetings.
• Monitor digital marketing channels and ensure engaging, accurate content.
