Caswell, Plager & Westerhold, LLC (CPW Law) seeks an Iowa Associate Attorney to join its workers’ compensation defense team. The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of legal experience and admission to the Iowa Bar, with a track record in civil litigation or insurance defense.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Admission to the Iowa Bar in good standing is required.
• 2–3+ years of legal experience, preferably in workers’ compensation, insurance defense, or civil litigation.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of Iowa workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution.
• Analyze claims, medical records, and other case materials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and case assessments.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Communicate with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Evaluate claims and exposure and negotiate settlements.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals to effectively manage cases and meet deadlines.
