Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Software Engineering Product Manager to lead IoT and Telematics within DOTS, delivering connected-car, smart-home, usage-based insurance, and telematics data products across Personal and Commercial Lines.

You will drive product, platform, and delivery leadership, ensuring secure, reliable, and well-run systems while modernizing data governance and scalability to align with P&C strategy. Strong data and engineering leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in MIS, engineering, math, CS or comparable experience preferred.
• Six years of experience in application suite management with four years leading multiple tech teams.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, modern methodologies, tools, and financial/portfolio planning.

Responsibilities

• Own product and platform health including reliability, security, and incident response.
• Lead prioritization across delivery, tech debt, regulatory obligations, and customer value.
• Manage dependencies, risks, trade-offs, delivery commitments, and vendor relationships.
• Promote modern engineering practices like automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure delivery.
