Role Overview

We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regional team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services. Your role involves solution architecture, design, and delivery support for customers.

Location

This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three Geos: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You must be located in the respective region to manage the team effectively.

Candidate Profile

• Strong Linux knowledge and proficiency in coding and scripting
• Experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development
• Enjoys fast-paced, diverse client engagements with ambitious entrepreneurs
• Business-focused, results-oriented, and a team player

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Field engineers across Presales and Professional Services
• Promote our technologies and serve as a trusted advisor to customers
• Manage a team remotely within a single major time zone
• Mentor, coach, and provide career development feedback
• Implement engineering processes and measure team health
• Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers
• Develop engineering and organizational practices
• Plan and track progress on goals and projects
• Collaborate with other leaders as part of the leadership team

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong academic background from high school through university
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Extensive experience with embedded Linux (e.g., Yocto)
• Proficiency with Linux distributions like Debian or Ubuntu
• Fluency in at least one programming language: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
• Experience managing a small team
• Customer engagement experience
• Professional proficiency in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
• Result-driven with a commitment to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate the business benefits of technology
• Quick learner and humble attitude
