Job summary

Terso Solutions is seeking a Product Design Engineer, IoT to design and develop robust hardware for connected devices in healthcare and other markets.

You will lead mechanical and electro-mechanical design from concept to production, create detailed CAD models, schematics, and BOMs, and work across teams to ensure regulatory compliance and manufacturability. Experience with FDA ISO13485 is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of IoT hardware or medical device design experience.
• Strong SolidWorks modeling and drawings skills.
• Experience with electromechanical systems testing and troubleshooting.
• Awareness of FDA ISO13485 expectations and regulatory practices.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mechanical and electromechanical design of IoT devices from concept to production.
• Create detailed engineering documentation including CAD models, wiring schematics, BOMs, build protocols, and quality records.
• Plan and execute hardware prototyping, fabrication, testing, and validation per regulatory requirements.
• Perform design iterations with emphasis on DFM, assembly, and test processes.
• Plan and conduct testing to verify design assumptions, performance, and safety.
