Job summary

We are seeking a hands-on Embedded Systems & Hardware Test Engineer to join our Atlanta, GA team onsite. You will test IoT devices, smart motors, sensors and pumps, partnering with engineering and product teams to ensure reliability and performance for a large-scale connected dispenser fleet.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in embedded systems, hardware testing or IoT testing, with hands-on experience testing embedded devices and working knowledge of Linux commands, debugging, and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in embedded systems, hardware testing, IoT testing
• Hands-on testing of embedded devices or physical hardware
• Fluent in QA metrics, risk assessment, defect detailing and test reporting
• Deep-dive into system logs for defect triage, root-cause analysis, and debugging
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting
• Experience with REST APIs or backend communication protocols
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect management and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and product teams to test IoT, cloud-connected hardware, and embedded components
• Test cutting-edge IoT hardware including smart motors, sensors and pumps for reliability and performance
• Analyze logs and diagnostic data, report defects, and drive root-cause analysis
• Develop and execute test plans, scripts and test cases; track defects and test metrics
