Job summary

Copper in Berkeley, CA is looking for a builder to own and architect data flows for our fleet telemetry. The role requires 8+ years of experience in production data infrastructure, ideally in an IoT or hardware setting.

The successful candidate will design reliable data models and maintain efficient storage systems on AWS. This is a full-time in-office position, with a competitive salary range of $185,000-$223,000 and generous benefits including medical and parental leave.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production data infrastructure, ideally with IoT or hardware experience.
• Strong design fundamentals across backend, event-driven systems, and storage.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own fleet telemetry and its data platform, architecting and scaling models and pipelines.
• Stand up reporting and analysis infrastructure to surface product issues early.
• Partner across teams at Copper on device data and access.
