Job summary

WHOOP is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join the Core team in Boston and help build the iOS app foundations for fitness, sleep, strain, and recovery. You will work with product, design, data science, and performance teams to deliver polished member-facing experiences.

The role requires strong Swift skills, experience with SwiftUI/ UIKit, MVVM, and RESTful API integration. You will contribute to testing, performance, and documentation to uphold engineering excellence.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated curiosity for building high-quality software and eagerness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Swift and modern iOS frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit, XCTest).
  • Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, including networking and authentication flows.
  • Familiarity with iOS development tools and workflows such as Xcode, Git, Swift Package Manager, and CI.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team and cross-functional partners through feature ideation, planning, and development to iteratively deliver new capabilities.
  • Contribute to technical planning by breaking down requirements into clear tasks, identifying risks and edge cases, and delivering iteratively with support from senior engineers.
  • Build and maintain native iOS features in Swift, communicating with RESTful backends to deliver reliable, high-quality member experiences.
  • Improve app quality through testing, debugging, code reviews, and performance monitoring.
  • Document features and technical decisions while learning shared engineering practices.
