Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to build the core iOS app foundations, own platform capabilities, and drive performance and reliability improvements. You will mentor engineers and shape shared patterns across the iOS stack.

You will lead design and implementation of architecture, navigation, and features in Swift, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes and strong user experiences for WHOOP members.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building, testing, debugging, and shipping native iOS applications in production environments.
• Strong proficiency with Swift and iOS frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit, XCTest) and MVVM architecture.
• Experience leading technical planning and delivery for cross-cutting iOS initiatives.
• Strong foundation in iOS performance and reliability fundamentals (memory, profiling, concurrency).
• Experience integrating mobile apps with backend services and APIs (REST, auth, networking).
• Familiarity with iOS tooling/workflows (Xcode, Git, CI, SwiftPM, CocoaPods).
• Collaboration across Product, Design, QA, Data, and Backend Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of core iOS platform capabilities including architecture, navigation, shared components, networking, persistence, and feature flags.
• Drive technical planning, scoping, sequencing, risks, and timelines for stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality, member-facing iOS features in Swift with measurable outcomes.
• Improve app reliability, performance, and maintainability via testing, observability, crash and performance monitoring.
• Establish and evolve shared engineering standards through code reviews and documentation.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
