Job summary

ActAI in the United States seeks an experienced iOS Software Engineer to own the iOS client experience. You will build a production-grade iOS app where AI interactions are central, focusing on performance, reliability, and user trust.

You will develop with Swift/SwiftUI, integrate AI features via backend APIs, and design UX for latency, streaming responses, retries, and fallbacks, collaborating with backend/ML teams to ship a high-quality app.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of iOS development with Swift.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI features in mobile apps.
• Strong understanding of async/await, concurrency, and background tasks.
• Proficient in iOS performance and memory optimization.
• Experience shipping production iOS apps.
• Design for latency, partial failure, and non-deterministic AI behavior.
• Exposure to CoreML or on-device ML.
• Familiarity with feature flags / remote config systems.
• Strong AI UX intuition and trust considerations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate AI-powered features via backend APIs.
• Design UX for loading states, streaming responses, retries, and fallbacks.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
• Capture user signals to support AI evaluation and iteration.
• Collaborate with backend and ML engineers on API design.
