Job summary

New Dawn Treatment Center in Sacramento, CA, seeks an IOP Program Director to lead the site, supervise counselors, and contribute to recovery-oriented care. The role combines clinical supervision with administrative oversight, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to regulations.

You will conduct group and individual sessions, participate in treatment planning, manage insurance authorizations, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current and valid SUDCC or CADC certification.
  • At least two years' experience with clients with substance use disorder.
  • Experience conducting group sessions and one-on-one sessions.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and personal auto insurance.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • TB test or chest X-ray required.
  • HIPAA and CFR-42 confidentiality knowledge.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure independently and in a team.
  • Strong project management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the site IOP SUD Counselors.
  • May carry a caseload when necessary.
  • Complete utilization reviews to obtain insurance authorizations.
  • Participate in client treatment planning and continuum of care.
  • Conduct group sessions as scheduled and document requirements.
  • Assist with modifying behavioral problems as needed.
  • Perform initial treatment assessments and follow-up assignments.
  • Ensure documentation of client care, treatment, and incidents is completed promptly.
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients when needed.
  • Maintain a positive therapeutic environment with individual and group counseling.
  • Oversee and manage client incidents and ensure timely incident reports.
  • Coordinate community referrals and ensure continuity of care.
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, planning, and progress management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated IOP Program DIrector to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center in Sacramento, Ca. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by providing compassionate support and effective therapeutic interventions to individuals seeking recovery. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of those we serve and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the IOP site location.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervisor to the site IOP SUD Counselors.
  • May have a caseload when necessary.
  • Complete utilization reviews to obtain insurance authorizations.
  • Participates in client treatment planning and continuum of care.
  • Conducts group sessions as scheduled, and documents as required.
  • Assists with modifying behavioral problems, as needed.

  • Ensures all documentation regarding client care, treatment and incidents is completed promptly.
  • Provides crisis intervention to clients, as needed.

  • Oversee and manage client incidents, ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively, and ensure that incident reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and managing clients' progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a current and valid certification: SUDCC or CADC.
  • Must have at least two years' experience working with clients with substance use disorder.
  • Experience in conducting group sessions and one on one sessions required.
  • Understands the principles and applications of evidenced based treatment modalities.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
  • Experience in electronic charting preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
