Job summary

Veolia Environnement SA in Missouri is seeking a technical intern to document regeneration process operations and develop comprehensive training materials. You will translate complex processes into clear training resources to support current and future staff.

Qualifications

• Material Development Phase: Write work instructions; develop training manuals with visuals; organize materials in an accessible format; incorporate feedback.
• Training & Hand-off Phase: Conduct training sessions; gather feedback; revise materials; document recommendations for future updates.

About This Role
We are seeking a technical intern to document our regeneration process operations anddevelop comprehensive training materials. This internship captures critical institutionalknowledge and creates scalable training resources for current and future employees. Youwill work directly with experienced operators to translate complex technical processes intoclear, accessible training materials that will serve as the foundation for ongoing knowledgemanagement.

What Your Day Might Look Like
Your work will evolve throughout the internship, progressing from hands-on observation and documentation to material development and training delivery:

• Weeks 1-4: Shadowing experienced operators, conducting interviews,photographing and diagramming procedures, and creating process flowcharts
• Weeks 5-9: Writing work instructions, developing training manuals with visual aids,creating quick-reference guides, and incorporating operator feedback
• Week 10: Conducting training sessions with plant staff, gathering feedback, makingfinal revisions, and documenting recommendations

Key Responsibilities
Knowledge Capture Phase:

• Shadow and interview experienced operators to understand regeneration processes
• Document step-by-step procedures with photos, diagrams, and detailed notes
• Record equipment specifications and safety protocols
• Identify common issues and resolution methods
• Create comprehensive process flowcharts

Material Development Phase:

• Write clear, technical Work Instructions
• Develop training manual with visual aids and diagrams
• Organize all materials in an accessible, user-friendly format
• Incorporate operator feedback into revisions

Training & Handoff Phase:

• Conduct training session(s) with plant staff to validate material accuracy
• Gather feedback on training effectiveness and material clarity
• Make final revisions based on feedback
• Document recommendations for future updates and knowledge management

Qualifications

Required:

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor of Science orEngineering degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, orother related technical discipline.
• Technical background (engineering, operations, or technical writing)
