Job summary

UMB Bank in Milwaukee is seeking an Investor Services Representative to support mutual fund shareholders by resolving issues in a friendly, professional manner. You will answer inbound calls, provide account information, and guide callers through fund options and history.

As you gain knowledge, you may work with additional investments and have the opportunity to move into leadership. A SIE within six months is encouraged, with study time provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent work experience.
  • At least 6 months in a customer-facing environment that required direct phone interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls from and prospective shareholders.
  • Assist shareholders with inquiries and provide account information.
  • Answer questions regarding investment style, fund performance, account options and history.
  • Analyze, research, and resolve shareholder concerns.
  • Educate callers about funds and products.
  • Process all transactions for shareholders.
  • Record caller information and request mailing of appropriate fund materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Updating SOLAR, our internal fund information database.
  • Making outbound calls for clients of our Lead Generation project.

Job description

The Registered Funds Team provides accounting, pricing, and reconciliation services for our mutual fund and collective trust clients. This group is a growing team that continues to add to our client portfolio. With additional clients and the evolution of client needs comes the opportunity to grow our knowledge base and expand our technological capabilities.

The Investor Services team provides telephone support to mutual fund shareholders, prospective shareholders, and the public. These calls can range from trade details, distributions, tax forms, purchases, and redemptions with the goal of placing trades.

As the Investor Services Representative, you will support shareholders by resolving their issues in a pleasant manner. Ask open ended questions to determine the root cause and provide solutions. As your knowledge increases, you will begin working with alternative investments with opportunities to move into a Team Lead. In addition, passing the Securities Industry Essential test (SIE) is required within six (6) months and you will be provided with internal resources as well as study time to successfully pass the exam.

Compensation Range

$38,916 - $57,244
