Job summary

Potomac, headquartered in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Director of Investor Relations to bridge investment management, product development, and business development. Lead dialogue with advisors, family offices, and institutions and present research and insights behind Potomac’s strategies.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bethesda, MD, with a focus on relationship-building, content creation, and strategic growth initiatives in a fast-paced asset-management environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in one or more of: Portfolio Management, Investment Research, Investor Relations, Institutional Sales, Investment Consulting, or Wealth/Asset Management.
• Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct investment research and evaluate investment strategies.
• Experience presenting to investment committees, boards, consultants, allocators, or due diligence teams.
• Experience using AI tools to improve research and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Potomac's tax-loss harvesting, direct indexing, and hedge fund strategies.
• Participate in meetings with advisors, consultants, family offices, institutional investors, and due diligence teams.
• Present investment research and portfolio insights to internal and external audiences.
• Support fundraising, business development, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Develop presentations, white papers, market commentary, and educational content.
• Respond to client and prospect inquiries and help deepen existing relationships.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and researchers on new products and investment solutions.
