Job summary

New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) offers a 10-week paid Investment Research Analysis Internship program for rising juniors and seniors, across Public and Private Fixed Income teams in NYC, Princeton, and El Segundo. The internship begins in June 2027 with weekly intern events and leadership exposure.

Interns engage in training, networking, mentorship, and a capstone project that could lead to a full-time rotational analyst role, with cross-team collaboration and hands-on investment

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, and/or CS.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel/VBA, financial modeling, Bloomberg, and data visualization tools.
• Understanding of CS concepts and programming languages (Java, Python, C++).
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills; detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Support research analysts and portfolio managers in active management of investment portfolios.
• Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling and scenario analysis; surveil bond portfolio positions and prepare credit research updates.
• Provide market data analytics support through data collection and preparation of market reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Contribute to projects including portfolio management, new deal analysis, market research, and credit evaluation.
• Work alongside investment professionals, develop analytical and technical skills, and gain insight into decision-making processes.
