Job summary

New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) offers a 10-week paid internship for rising juniors and seniors. Based in New York City, Princeton, or El Segundo, interns will join the Investment Research Analysis track across Public and Private Fixed Income teams.

The program emphasizes hands-on research, mentorship, and professional development during June–August 2027. Participants will engage in training sessions, network with senior leaders, and complete a collaborative internship project that

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, and/or CS.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis with market knowledge.
High proficiency in Excel/VBA, financial modeling, and Bloomberg.
Understanding of CS concepts and at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and writing skills; detail-oriented and multitasker.

Responsibilities

Support analysts and portfolio managers with active portfolio management through daily trading exposure and special projects.
Perform financial analyses and scenario modeling; monitor bond portfolios and prepare credit updates.
Provide market data analytics via data collection and creation of reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Contribute to projects across portfolio management, deal analysis, market research, and credit evaluation.
Collaborate with investment professionals to develop analytical and technical skills and understand decision processes in institutional investing.
