Job summary

Vanguard in Malvern, PA seeks a Transition Consultant who partners with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to assess portfolio impacts, identify risks, and design solutions for complex asset movement and portfolio restructuring.

You will connect investment strategy with implementation, lead cross‑functional initiatives, and mentor junior team members while delivering disciplined execution and strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five years experience in the Financial Services industry or client services preferred.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
• CFA or CFP preferred.
• This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on asset allocation, portfolio construction, and fund selection decisions.
• Conducts investment reviews and shares findings and recommendations with clients and related governing bodies.
• Collaborates with internal partners to develop and deliver targeted client strategies and maximize adoption of Vanguard services.
• Maintains an in-depth understanding of the investment industry, market conditions and compliance policies.
• Leads initiatives that enhance Vanguard's transition consulting capabilities, operating infrastructure, and client offering.
• Manages cross-functional projects that improve processes, tools, scalability, risk management, and client outcomes.
• May serve as a mentor, role model, and technical resource for more junior crew members.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
