Job summary

Allegheny Financial Group seeks an Investment Research Analyst to support research, manager due diligence, and portfolio analysis. You will evaluate mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, and private investments, while enhancing research with data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.

You will contribute to data-driven processes, build dashboards, and communicate insights to advisors and clients, aligning with the firm’s research rigor and client service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years in investment research or related field.
• Experience evaluating alternative investments including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real assets, or other private market strategies.
• CFA Level I passed and pursuing CFA designation as part of professional plan.
• Strong attention to detail with initiative and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support due diligence of new and existing investment managers.
• Generate quantitative scores for mutual funds and ETFs and assist evaluation of hedge funds and private investments.
• Support due diligence across traditional and alternative strategies including mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, and private markets.
• Analyze datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, risk characteristics, and insights.
• Generate macroeconomic and fund exhibits for internal/client reporting.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve evaluation, monitoring, and due diligence processes.
• Develop scalable research workflows with data automation and validation.
