Job summary

Minnesota State Board of Investment in St. Paul seeks an Investment Analyst, Publications to support the SBI's Stewardship function by developing and distributing external-facing investment publications, including annual reports and stewardship materials.

You will work with investment staff, legal, and communications teams to present complex data clearly. The role requires familiarity with portfolio performance, asset allocation, and governance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial communications, investment reporting, publications, communications, editorial or content production, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, edit, proofread, and synthesize complex financial or investment material into clear written materials for various audiences.
• Working knowledge of institutional investment concepts including asset allocation, performance, benchmarks, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development, review, production, and distribution of SBI's external-facing investment publications (annual report, stewardship report, prospectuses, investment reports).
• Collaborate with investment staff, subject-matter experts, and external service providers to translate complex information into clear publications.
• Draft, edit, proofread, and format publication content, including narrative text and data tables, for accuracy and consistency.
• Apply standards for investment-return presentation, disclosures, and accessibility; resolve discrepancies with experts.
