Job summary

National Philanthropic Trust is seeking an Investment Operations, Associate to support trading instructions, reconciliation, and valuation across DAF and SO programs. The role collaborates with custodians and partners to ensure accurate donor statements and timely fee collection.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in finance, a finance-related bachelor’s, and familiarity with Salesforce; strong Excel skills and an investigative mindset are valued. Hybrid onsite schedule with Tue/Thu?

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field.
  • Experience with Donor-Advised Funds is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely instructions of trading activity for investments and divestments for all DAF and SO programs.
  • Record corporate actions and other investment-related earnings for all DAFs and SOs.
  • Daily reconciliation of internal system data to external accounts.
  • Daily valuation of all securities and other investments.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of quarterly donor statements.
  • Collection of fees from investment accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Conduct outreach to Financial Service Partners and custodians for timely trade/wire execution.

What You'll Do:
  • Prepare accurate and timely instructions of trading activity for investments and divestments associated with grants, fees and reallocations for all DAF and SO programs
  • Record corporate actions and other investment-related earnings for all DAFs and SOs
  • Daily reconciliation of internal system (Stellar) data to external accounts
  • Daily valuation of all securities and other investments
  • Timely and accurate preparation of quarterly donor statements
  • Collection of fees from investment accounts
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, as necessary
  • Conduct outreach to NPT's Financial Service Partners and custodians to ensure timely execution of trade and wire instructions

Salary is $55,000 plus 8.4% annual discretionary bonus. This is a hybid work schedule, working onsite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in the suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and proofreading skills
  • Both a team player and capable of independent work
  • Must have an inquisitive, investigative mindset, and be willing and able to "dig deeper," rather than accept information at face value
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent, sound judgment

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Donor-Advised Funds is a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
