Job Description :
As a Deal Operations Specialist, you’ll work closely with our investment and finance teams to manage deal flow, maintain data integrity in Salesforce CRM, and handle investment documentation. This junior role (ideal for candidates with 2-6 years of experience) is perfect for someone with Salesforce experience, exposure to venture capital or startups, and strong communication skills to engage with executives and investors across San Francisco, New York, and London.
Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce CRM Management Update and maintain investment opportunity and company data in Salesforce (Sales Cloud). Ensure data quality, consistency, and timely entry. Support portfolio company onboarding data collection.
- Deal Flow Coordination Track new investment opportunities, deal stages, and follow-ups with investors via Slack. Ensure deal memos and documentation are properly filed and accessible. Monitor investment committee votes and capture closed deal data.
- Portfolio Financial Support Assist the finance team in reviewing portfolio company financials and validating metrics. Audit portfolio company tear sheets summarizing investment and performance data. Coordinate with portfolio companies to resolve discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience : 2-6 years in venture capital, private investment, or a related field (internships or coursework acceptable).
- Salesforce Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud a plus) for data management and reporting.
- Financial Acumen : Familiarity with venture capital documents (e.g., term sheets, cap tables, SaaS metrics).
- Communication Skills : Confident and diplomatic when engaging with executives and investors in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail : Strong organizational skills to manage 10-20 deals and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with portfolio reporting or fund management systems.
- Strong understanding of venture capital deal structures.
