The ideal candidate is early career (0–3 years), locally based in Denver, with high agency and fluency in AI tools as part of how you work. You will contribute across operations, research, and coordination.

29 South is a Denver holding company. We were founded in 2017 and have grown quickly since then through disciplined capital allocation and compounding returns. We build and own businesses across U.S. infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial technology, and energy — including companies like Alpine Energy and LuxTronic. We're also LPs in a handful of leading VC firms and do select early-stage deals when the opportunity is right.

This is a finance and operations role supporting the Managing Partner of 29 South.

You should expect to:

• Support our existing portfolio companies in ways big and small
• Own analysis, models, memos, and follow-through that actually get used
• Help identify new investment opportunities and themes
• Help execute on those opportunities once we decide to move
• Jump into whatever needs doing — ops, research, coordination, the unglamorous stuff

This is a good seat for someone who wants their work and decisions to matter on day one. We are small. There is no bench. If you own something, it shows up.

The ideal candidate is early career (roughly 0–3 years), local to Denver, extremely high agency, and already fluent with AI tools as part of how you work. You should care about building American industry and being close to that work. We value creativity, curiosity, and a track record of hard work and contributions.
