Investment Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director responsible for the Absolute Return, Credit, and Fixed Income portfolios, the Manager will be an integral part of the investment team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting due diligence across Absolute Return, Public and/or Private Credit, Fixed Income, and Public Equities fund managers. Responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, monitoring external managers, and contributing to asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management decisions. A proven track record in due diligence projects and dedication to Getty's mission are essential.

Major Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective opportunities, analyzing investment strategy, process, organization, portfolio positions, and performance.
  • Prepare investment memos, supporting documentation, and research materials.
  • Develop and generate reports with the investment operations team on fund and portfolio exposures, risk metrics, fund flows, liquidity, and performance.
  • Coordinate legal reviews, terms negotiation, funding sources, and operational requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on market trends and strategies through research and conferences.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Build and maintain a network within the investment community.
  • Assist across all asset classes and support colleagues as needed.
Qualifications
  • College or university degree; CFA, CAIA, and/or MBA is a plus.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience at a foundation, endowment, family office, financial institution, or consulting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, risk, and complex investment strategies.
  • Experience with multiple asset classes, especially absolute return and private credit strategies.

  • Proficient in multitasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, data-driven approach.
  • Organized with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient with technology; familiarity with Caissa and Bloomberg is a plus.
  • Team-oriented, with integrity and fiduciary responsibility.
