Job summary

Axiom is seeking an Investment & Wealth Management Counsel to join the Financial Services team in the United States. You will advise on investment advisory, fiduciary duties, and wealth management matters, helping ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities include drafting agreements, providing fiduciary guidance under SEC/FINRA regulations, and advising on asset allocation and portfolio strategies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years advising on investment advisory, wealth management, or fiduciary compliance.
• Strong understanding of fiduciary duties and standards of care, including SEC and FINRA.
• Experience advising on asset allocation and wealth management matters.
• Drafting investment advisory agreements and trust documents.
• Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with unregistered funds or private investment vehicles.
• JD and licensed to practice law.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and technology skills.

• Demonstrated experience drafting investment advisory agreements and trust agreements.
• Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with unregistered funds or private investment vehicles.
• Juris Doctor (JD) and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and technology skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with private wealth, private credit, or alternative investment strategies.
• Background advising on complex trust structuring and tailored wealth strategies.
• Experience conducting fiduciary reviews and regulatory risk assessments.
• Familiarity with institutional investment advisory, pension funds, or ERISA-related matters.

Compensation:

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs. Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
