Job summary

Morrison Foerster is actively seeking attorneys with 3–6 years of regulatory experience in investment management to join our Investment Management Group in the Washington, DC area. The candidate should have strong experience with registered advisers and registered investment companies, and be admitted to the bar in the appropriate jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience, preferably at an Am Law top 100 firm.
• Regulatory experience with the SEC’s Division of Investment Management is valued.
• Excellent experience with registered investment advisers and investment companies – including registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products.
• Drafted key corporate governance documents for registered advisers and registered investment companies.
• Experience advising private fund clients and their advisers on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, general securities laws and issues relating to registration, exemptions, governance and product structure.
• Outstanding writing and analytical skills and top academic credentials.
• Eagerness to be part of a collaborative and dynamic group of specialists.
• Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or are eligible to waive in.

Who You Are

Denver, CO annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000

New York, NY annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000

Washington, DC annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
