Job summary

Watts & Associates is partnering with a premier Am Law 100 firm to recruit an Investment Funds Associate for its Washington, DC platform. You will advise sponsors and investment managers on fund formation, launches, closings, and ongoing operations while drafting partnership agreements and related documents, with direct access to partners and clients.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of investment funds and asset management experience, strong drafting skills, and admission in the relevant U.S.

Qualifications

Approximately 5–8 years of substantive investment funds and asset management experience.
Experience handling private-fund formation and investment-management matters for sophisticated clients.
Strong drafting, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet demanding deadlines.

Responsibilities

Advise sponsors and investment managers on fund formation, launches, closings and ongoing operations.
Draft and negotiate partnership agreements, subscription materials, side letters and management-company documents.
Support regulatory, compliance, governance and investor-relations matters across private and registered products.
Work directly with sponsors, institutional investors and multidisciplinary teams on complex fund structures.
Coordinate with attorneys and professionals across related practice areas and offices.
