Role Overview

The Investment Director will join the investor relations and capital formation team, focusing on private markets with an emphasis on Climate. The role involves working closely with the Private Climate investment team and managing Wellington-managed vehicles that pursue private investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a representative of the Private Climate Investing team with clients, prospects, and consultants.
• Support and articulate the investment process and portfolios with clients and internal/external constituents.
• Assist in the growth and retention of client assets.
• Provide regular investment risk oversight for private investment funds.
• Manage internal issues related to the private equity business.
• Develop marketing strategy and business planning, leading research on new business opportunities.
• Communicate the firm’s Private Investments strategy to internal and external audiences.
• Create presentation content for investors and senior management.
• Negotiate legal documentation and summarize key economics.
• Support Business Developers in fundraising and relationship management activities.
• Participate in meetings with clients and prospects to communicate investment philosophy and performance.
• Collaborate with product development and investment teams to identify new private investment strategies.
• Mentor earlier career product management talent.

Qualifications
