Job summary

Commerce Bank in St. Louis, MO is seeking a summer Intern to support transaction execution through financial analysis, research, and production of client-ready materials. The internship runs 11 weeks from May 18 to July 30, 2027, and is paid with a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will build transaction comps, perform company and industry research, and help produce CIMs and management presentations. Eligibility requires work authorization in the US.

• Knowledge of financial analysis with an analytical and quantitative skillset.
• Independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to ask questions, offer solutions, retain information and apply details to future situations.
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analysis & Modeling: assist in building transaction comps, support DCF and operating model inputs, and spread financial data.
• Research: Company and industry research; buyer screening; ownership/relationship mapping; news and filings review.
• Materials Production – assist in creating and formatting slides, tables, charts; support CIM and management presentation production.
• Process Support - Track outreach lists, call notes, NDA tracking, diligence logs, and weekly status reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned
