Job summary

Synthires is seeking an Investment Banking & M&A Expert for a remote, contractor role. The position calls for hands-on valuation, CIM and pitch book experience, and the use of agentic AI tools to craft and review deal materials. Availability of 10+ hours per week is required, with 20+ hours preferred.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in investment banking or sell‑side advisory and can operate across US/Canada time zones, with global flexibility. Compensation is hourly and task-based.

• Hands-on experience with valuation models, CIMs, pitch books, and live-deal client materials.
• Practical experience using agentic AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Claude Cowork.

Responsibilities

• Build realistic transaction environments using company information, financial statements, diligence materials, and deal context.
• Design multi-step tasks involving valuation, comparable‑company analysis, financial modeling, and sell-side advisory.
• Use AI agents to develop and review CIMs, pitch books, valuation models, and supporting materials.
• Independently verify the accuracy and quality of AI-generated deliverables.
• Create objective evaluation criteria and realistic transaction workflows.

Location: Remote (US/Canada preferred; UK and Latin America also considered)

Commitment: 10+ hours per week required; 20+ preferred

About the Opportunity

Apply your investment banking and M&A expertise to help evaluate how AI systems perform complex transaction work. Build realistic deal environments, develop transaction scenarios, and use AI agents to create and review valuation models, deal materials, and client-facing deliverables. Hands‑on experience with agentic AI tools is required.

• Industrials sector experience.
• Experience developing review standards, training junior professionals, or creating internal playbooks.
• Previous benchmark development or AI evaluation experience.
• Availability for 20+ hours per week.

Compensation

$60-$120 per hour, with payment based on completed tasks.
