Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an Investment Banking Associate I to perform advanced financial modeling, analysis, and reporting for Corporate & Investment Banking teams. With limited supervision, you will produce high quality data and presentation materials.

You will manage Analysts, collaborate with deal teams, and present to senior bankers, while ensuring risk and compliance requirements are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.
SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses (or ability to obtain).
Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

Build and understand complex financial models.
Perform complex financial analysis with minimal oversight.
Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs.
Complete research and maintain information databases as required.
Work well as part of a team in a high stress environment and under tight deadlines
Develop good working relationships with peers and senior bankers in the Corporate & Investment Bank and the rest of the organization.
Manage priorities while working on a number of high priority opportunities simultaneously.
Complete credit and corporate finance overview and analysis independently.
Serve as support to the Managing Directors and be capable of making internal and external presentations to support the efforts of the Managing Directors on the team.
Interact with all important constituencies in the course of executing and closing loan transactions.
Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, confidentiality, and information barrier requirements across all workstreams.
Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.
