Job summary

Citizens Bank seeks an Investment Banking Analyst for its Atlanta office to support the Commercial Services Advisory team in preparing, analyzing, and executing middle-market M&A transactions in the U.S.

You will build financial models, assist with pitch materials and due diligence, participate in client meetings, and help develop new business ideas and transaction structures under senior bankers’ guidance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar role.
• Experience in Business Services sector preferred.
• Intelligent and resourceful; strong technical skills (accounting, modeling, Excel).
• Excellent attention to detail and professional written/verbal communication.

Citizens Commercial Services Advisory team is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst for our Atlanta office. The analyst will work closely with the team preparing, analyzing, and executing Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) related transactions, primarily within the U.S. middle market. All Analysts have significant exposure to senior bankers and are involved in all stages of a transaction; they are an integral part of delivery to our clients and prospects.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Managing and assisting with the preparation of financial models and business valuations
• Work with team members developing new business ideas, pitch strategies, or transaction structuring scenarios (inclusive of equity, debt and/or M&A) to help the firm’s corporate and sponsor clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives
• Leading / participating in meetings with current and prospective clients
• Conducting industry and company due diligence
• Preparing and reviewing information memoranda and other transaction documents: draft key marketing and key transaction related documents
• Preparing and reviewing pitch/business origination materials and other presentations: develop and review pitches and other presentations and be an integral part of the team in delivering these presentations
• Assisting business development efforts

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

• 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar role.
• Experience in Business Services sector is preferred.
