A financial services firm in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as an Investment Associate.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite investment opportunities by conducting collateral-specific credit analyses (e.g., building collections/charge-off curves, assessing loss coverage, calculating investment returns).
• Review due diligence materials with an emphasis on analyzing and manipulating loan tapes to conduct thorough credit analysis.
• Demonstrate expertise in financial statement analysis and the mechanics of fixed-income transactions.
• Monitor portfolio companies to ensure accurate reporting and generate performance evaluations.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 to 4 years of experience across private credit investing, investment banking, debt capital markets leveraged finance, structured / asset-based finance, restructuring.
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills (Alteryx a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
